This is a unique and exciting time to enter the field of HR, and, if you’re interested in helping organizations prosper in the new economy, Rutgers is the place to be. The Rutgers MHRM program has a world-class faculty, curriculum, student body, and location.
Rutgers has the largest faculty of scholars in the world focused on HR strategy, international and global HRM, and related employment issues. A typical business school has one or two faculty members who specialize in HR or employment issues we have 30.
We serve both academics and practitioners through a comprehensive, integrative curriculum that differentiates us from the competition. Our size and focus allow us to teach a wide range of specialty HR areas as well as the traditional functions of recruiting, staffing, performance management, and compensation, etc.
Our focused and engaged students are another key advantage with the mix of full time, part time, domestic, and international students creating a rich learning environment. With approximately 200 students, we support a diverse faculty and course offerings, while still keeping class sizes small.
Finally, our location allows us to interact with a wide variety of practitioners and academics throughout the northeastern US. The corporate headquarters for several hundred Fortune 500 corporations are within a 50-mile radius, giving our students access to frequent guest speakers and enhanced internship and job placement opportunities.
