Professor Human Resource Management

Professor Liao's current research interests include service quality and organizational management, leadership, high performance work systems and HR practices, workforce diversity, organizational justice and justice climate, and multilevel theory and method. Her research draws on psychology, management, and marketing literatures, links organizations' internal and external stakeholders, covers various organizational settings in the United States, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, and Japan, and involves both small businesses and global companies’ worldwide operations.

Her work received the Academy of Management's Dorothy Harlow Distinguished Paper Awardand the Southern Management Association's Best Doctoral Student Paper Award was featured in the American Psychological Association's Press Releases, and has appeared in the Academy of Management Journal, Best Paper Proceedings of the Academy of Management Meeting, Human Resource Management, Journal of Applied Psychology, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, Organization Science, Personnel Psychology, Journal of Occupational Health Psychology, Journal of Occupational Rehabilitation, Journal of Psychology, Research in Multilevel Issues, and Research in Personnel and Human Resources Management.

Professor Liao currently serves as the Co-Editor for the annual series, Research in Personnel and Human Resources Management, and serves on the Editorial Board for the Academy of Management Journal and Journal of Applied Psychology.(HRM Department).
