Certificate Program in Public Sector Labor-Management Relations
This four course (12 credit) certificate program allows students to develop
a broad perspective on issues central to public sector labor-management
relations—as those relations apply to teachers, nurses in public health
facilities, other public sector workers.
It is open to all matriculated graduate students outside the School of
Management and Labor Relations in Rutgers University, to nonmatriculated
students who have earned a bachelor's degree and who are approved for
study in this program by the Labor Studies and Employment Relations Department.
Students who earn the certificate while not matriculated into the MLER
program are encouraged to apply for and matriculate in that program. Students
already enrolled in the MLER program will not normally be eligible for
the certificate. The certificate will only be awarded to those who earn
a grade-point average of 3.0 or better in all certificate courses.
