Welcome to the School of Management and Labor Relations
| Rutgers’ School of Management and Labor Relations (SMLR) is the world’s leading source of expertise on managing and representing workers, designing effective organizations, and building strong employment relationships. In today’s global economy, more and more of the value created within companies rests in the knowledge of their workers, while workers – at all levels -- are experiencing growing anxiety about America’s ability to create and retain good jobs. Yet most business schools have only a handful of faculty who focus on talent issues and many do not require a single course on managing the workforce. In contrast, SMLR has 30 core faculty – many of them global leaders in their field – dedicated to focusing on workforce issues. Our goal is to become the partner of choice for organizations – companies, unions, non-profits, and government – as they seek to align their strategy, organization and talent, and to develop win-win partnerships between management and the workforce. As you learn more about the wide range of resources SMLR has to offer, please reach out to us. We look forward to working with you. |
