The last day at Princeton Care Center felt disorienting and jarring for Thomas Steffe, who suffered with advanced Parkinson’s disease. But he quickly warmed to the idea of moving as he and others were forced to leave the financially troubled nursing home in September with only a few hours notice.
“He was moving and he was happy about that,” said his daughter, Meghan Barbieri, calling Princeton Care “terrible — the bare minimum of what would be considered acceptable.”
