Dianne McKay has been teaching for SMLR for over a decade. She is an alumna of Douglass College at Rutgers University and the University of Pennsylvania. She has previously taught for the University of Southern Colorado and Fairleigh Dickinson University. Ms. McKay is a long -time advocate for women’s equity and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the National Association for Commissions on Women. In addition she chairs the Burlington County Council on Women.

Dianne McKay served as the chair of the New Jersey Council for Gender Parity in Labor and Education for 15 years. The Council seeks to remove gender based barriers in labor and education. The Council was staffed by the SMLR Center for Women and Work producing numerous groundbreaking reports on gender equity in New Jersey.

Dianne was appointed by Governor Christine Todd Whitman to chair the New Jersey Advisory Commission on the Status of Women. She served two terms as President of the American Association of Women-New Jersey. She chaired the Gender Equity Advisory Committee for the New Jersey Department of Education and served as the chair of the Advisory Committee for the Nontraditional Career Resource Center at the SMLR Center for Women and Work.
