Jiawei Zheng is a Ph.D. student in the School of Management and Labor Relations at Rutgers University. He earned his Master’s degree in Labor and Employment Relations and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Human Resource Management and Psychology, all from Rutgers University. He joined the Ph.D. program in 2025. His research bridges macro and micro HR, examining how organizational policies and institutional contexts shape individual behavior and how micro-level mechanisms aggregate to firm and societal outcomes. His current interests include corporate social responsibility (CSR), star employees and talent flows, and employee voice. Prior to starting the Ph.D. program, he worked as a technical recruiter at Microsoft and as a human resources manager for a non-profit labor organization.
