Fidan Kurtulus has received multiple fellowships from our Institute for the Study of Employee Ownership and Profit Sharing, co-authoring a book with SMLR’s Douglas Kruse along the way.
In addition to appointing the new research fellows, the Institute today announced two Founding Supporters.
SMLR research helped to inform the bipartisan Main Street Employee Ownership Act, announced by U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand.

Supported by SMLR research fellowships, Erik Olsen is gathering data on employee-owned firms and analyzing what sets them apart from other companies.
SMLR has appointed 22 fellows to study broad-based employee stock ownership and profit sharing in corporations, the U.S. economy and society. The recipients represent the largest collection of young scholars from a broad range of fields in the social sciences and humanities. They also come from some of the nation’s most prestigious institutions and all parts of the U.S.
