Xiangmin (Helen) Liu, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Human Resource Management in the School of Management and Labor Relations at Rutgers University. Dr. Liu received her Ph.D. in Human Resource Studies from the ILR School at Cornell University in 2009.

Dr. Liu’s primary research interests include three areas: (1) the strategic alignment between human resource systems and organizational objectives, (2) the impact of market forces and social institutions on work practices, and (3) the influences of managerial practices and interpersonal processes on employee outcomes. Her research has been published in Personnel Psychology, Journal of Management, and Industrial and Labor Relations Review, as well as in other academic journals and edited volumes.

Prior to joining the SMLR at Rutgers, Dr. Liu was an Associate Professor of Human Resource Management at the School of Labor and Employment Relations, Pennsylvania State University.
