SMLR’s New Jersey/New York Center for Employee Ownership teams up with the Democracy at Work Institute to launch the Participatory Management Certificate Program.

The iconic actor and activist spoke at an event co-hosted by SMLR’s Center for Women and Work and SMLR’s Center for Innovation in Worker Organization.

Rutgers University’s Center for Innovation in Worker Organization (CIWO) continued to build and strengthen its relationship with the Interstate Labor Standards Association (ILSA), the national association of the state wage and hour enforcement agencies. ILSA invited CIWO and our partner, the Center for Law and Social Policy (CLASP), to present two skills training sessions on strategic enforcement at this year’s national conference. CIWO and CLASP used this opportunity to pilot two of the six training modules it developed on strategic enforcement following the Strategic Enforcement Convening in May 2018.

Our Education and Employment Research Center surveyed thousands of college students to learn how earnings data affect their perceptions and decision-making.

Fidan Kurtulus has received multiple fellowships from our Institute for the Study of Employee Ownership and Profit Sharing, co-authoring a book with SMLR’s Douglas Kruse along the way.

The recipients were honored at the annual meetings of the Labor and Employment Relations Association (LERA) and the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM)

In addition to appointing the new research fellows, the Institute today announced two Founding Supporters.
