The School of Management and Labor Relations (SMLR) has offered the Michael W. Huber Fellowship in Democratic Capitalism in past years. The fellowships were awarded to outstanding Ph.D. candidates or to visiting or postdoctoral scholars. The Michael W. Huber Fellowship has been supported by a generous gift from Dr. Caroline Huber. The fellows have studied the idea and/or the practice of democratic capitalism, such as broad-based forms of profit-sharing and employee share ownership at the level of the nation, a particular industry, a region, or a corporation.
